The governance of Openclimate.org will be transparent and include the participation of community members, rules of behavior, and the checks and balances needed to insure participatory decision-making. Because our mission is to be a problem solving organization rather than an advocacy organization, Openclimate.org seeks to be an honest broker of climate information.

As such, we will use our reputation and integrative approach to problem solving to create an influential and respected Openclimate.org “brand.” Some materials in this section, such as our position papers and commentaries, will be vetted and approved by community members before being made available, thus providing an Openclimate.org “voice” on climate change issues. Our blog and wiki will provide a more free form, inclusive forum for participants to communicate with each other and the public.
