Climate Blue (Column at Michigan Today)
- Confronting our invisible enemies: The challenges of using model-based knowledge to address emerging societal challenges such as pandemics and climate change
- Will the Earth be habitable in 2100? A response to a reader’s question about whether the Earth will be habitable in 2100 – with respect to our climate, yes – but it will be fraught with challenges.
- Anticipation, reaction, or something in between? Why do we always pose problems and solutions as this versus that? That is a political argument, sometimes advocacy, but it is not problem solving.
- Hurricane Dorian and the Bahama Islands: We often hear the climate change will make hurricanes “stronger.” A warming world will have many influences on, for example, hurricanes. There is no one thing that climate change “does.”
